IFF MAGIC JAPAN ~Fashion Expo in Tokyo, Japan~

I went to IFF MAGIC JAPAN which was held 2weeks ago at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan.

The world's largest fashion expo "MAGIC" which is held in Las Vegas in U.S. and comprised of eleven unique communities showcasing the latest in apparel, footwear, accessories, and manufacturing has partnered with JFW-IFF, the longest running fashion exhibition in Japan, as IFF MAGIC Japan.

Japan is the third largest fashion market in the world after the U.S. and the EU. Japan's fashion trends influence the fashion markets not only of Asia but all around the world.

IFF MAGIC Japan was the first time that Japan hosts a truly international trade fair for the fashion industries.

IFF MAGIC Japan is the fashion event for retail buyers and attendees from all over Japan and Asia as well as other parts of the world. IFF MAGIC Japan serves as a high-profile showcase for top Japanese fashion brands and designers to promote themselves to Japan and the global market, and also as a valuable opportunities for international brands and suppliers to access the lucrative Japanese market.

I have been to MAGIC in Las Vegas a couple of times. Compare to MAGIC in the U.S., IFF MAGIC Japan is still small. But I think it will be expanded.

Jumble Tokyo Exhibition

I went to Jumble Tokyo Exhibition which was held in
Shibuya last week.

The Trade show, Jumble Tokyo has played a major role
amongst Japanese Clothing brands, accessories, home goods, as well as works of art within the industry for more than 10 years in the Tokyo fashion scene.

What makes Jumble unique is its vow for "quality first."

Their dedication is defined in its encouragement of local production and a long lifespan of goods through the careful selection of raw materials, perpetual design, and skilled craftsmanship.

However, Jumble and its 200+ vendors have collectively taken an initiative to present their story behind every produced product; who, how, and where our goods are produced within Japan.

Jumble organizes "JAMBLE PARIS" in Paris as well.

This exhibition is very cool.
Definitely "MUST SEE" expo.

Beautiful nature. Shiretoko, Hokkaido

Today, I would like to introduce "Shiretoko Peninsula" in Hokkaido, Japan.

The Shiretoko Peninsula in eastern Hokkaido juts out into the Sea of Okhotsk.

It is one of Japan's most beautiful place and is said to be the last unexplored region in Japan.

The peninsula is home to a variety of wildlife, such as brown bears, deers and foxes.

In winter, the peninsula's coast along the Sea of Okhotsk becomes one of the northern hemisphere's southernmost regions to see drift ice.

This picture(above) is the Shiretoko-Goko lakes(five lakes), which are small, quiet lakes surrounded by a virgin forest, and known as "the five jewels". You can walk around these five lakes in about 90mins.

Shiretoko is known as a "waterfall kingdom", and many waterfalls can be seen from the sightseeing boat.

This picture(Right) is Oshinkoshin waterfall which flows alongside a road and drops magnificently towards the sea.

Shiretoko Pass(Left) is located at the top of the Shiretoko Highway.

This highway is popular among drivers during the summer, and views of snow that still remains at the end of July are impressive.

I strongly recommend to go to Shiretoko Peninsula if you were a nature lover.

Beautiful harbor city, Minato Mirai, Yokohama

I would like to introduce a beautiful harbor city, Minato Mirai, Yokohama.

Yokohama is Japan's second largest city. Yokohama is located about one hour south of Tokyo by train.

Minato Mirai is a seaside urban area in central Yokohama whose name means "harbor of the future".

There are shopping centers, hotels, restaurants, amusement park, convention center, and
hot spring.. Basically you can find anything!

These are located along the waterfront.

My favorite place is Red Brick Warehouse.
The Red Brick Warehouse was a port before, but it got converted into a shopping Mall.

They have a number of shops that offer interesting products as well as some restaurants and floorspace.

Minato Mirai is a very fun place to go.
And, yes, the view is amazing!

There are many new and cool shops and restaurants, so I think it's a great place to
take a look at.
